To take this online test you will need either: a) a wave pedal, or b) a tape transcriber, tape recorder with microphone jack, sound card, a tape and a dubbing cable suitable for connecting your sound card and tape recorder and Windows 95/98 and/or higher version of Windows.

First Download and install the following:

ACM102.EXE

ACM102.EXE is a self extracting zip file. After downloading (make sure you watch where it downloads to) you must install/run it, and then run the setup.exe file it generates.

After you have successfully installed the above audio driver you will be able to download and/or play the following test dictations. We strongly recommend you download them to your hard drive and then play them. This will make recording them to audio tape much easier and will improve sound quality.

If you have installed the audio driver correctly and successfully downloaded these files you should be able to play them through your computer speakers, simply by double clicking on the downloaded files in Windows Explorer.

You can then either: a) transcribe them directly from your computer with your wave pedal, or b) record these test dictations onto a tape. For best audio quality use an audio dubbing cable (available at Radio Shack, etc) to connect the SPEAKER jack on your sound card to the MIC jack on the tape recorder. Press record on the tape recorder and then double click the file in Windows Explorer to begin recording it to tape.

You may then transcribe the tape as normal in your transcriber.

After you have transcribed, spell checked & proofread your test email it, with your resume to personnel@cnctranscription.com.

Please only transcribe the areas in which you have experience. You can choose from the 41 tests and categories. Put your name, test # and category at the top of each test.  Make sure to do a basic and medical spell check before submitting your tests along with your resume.
